Details:
Thick & Small. These are the characteristics of the “Nürnberger Bratwurst”. The history of this sausage dates back to 1313 when the recipe was established by the Council of the Imperial City of Nuremberg. Nowadays, you can find them in most sausage restaurants all over Germany. Each sausage weighs about 40 grams and is seven to nine centimeters long. The main ingredients are: pork, marjoram, salt and pepper.
The “Nürnberger Bratwurst” are classically eaten by placing three grilled sausages in a German bread roll which is cut lengthwise and topped with mustard. This way of eating them is called “Drei im Weggla” (three in the bread). Alternatively, you can enjoy these small sausages with German Sauerkraut (fermented cabbage) and mashed potatoes or potato salad.
Kids love them because of their little size. Adults love them because of their authentic and distinctive look and taste.
Our “Nürnberger Bratwurst” are a bit bigger than a finger and are made using sheep casing and a mixture of natural herbs and spices such as marjoram, pepper, nutmeg, and coriander. The sausages are produced locally in Kaohsiung from pork. Best with our Bautz’ner mustard and German style bread rolls.
