“Pfefferbeisser” which is also known as “Beersausage” is a type of German sausage that is known for its distinctive peppery flavor. The name translates to “pepper biter” in English, reflecting the prominent use of pepper in its seasoning. Pfefferbeisser is a cured and smoked sausage, and it is often enjoyed as a snack in Germany. Ideal for hiking trips or to enjoy at home with German beer.

The “Pfefferbeisser” undergoes a curing process, where it is treated with salt and other seasonings, and then smoked. The smoking process sets a smoky flavor to the sausage and contributes to its characteristic appearance (thin but long and dark).
